Maudie Bryant (she/her) is a mother, educator, and multidisciplinary artist based in Shreveport, Louisiana. Her creative work explores the complexities of memory, identity, and the human condition, often peering at the tension between equilibrium and underlying disquiet. With a background in both visual art and writing, Maudie blends symbolism and emotion across disciplines, seeking interconnectivity. She is the 2024 recipient of the G. Scott Griffin Award for her writing, an honor recognizing artists who create through adversity. Holding an M.A. in English from the University of Louisiana Monroe, she is also the founder and editor of Audi Locus: A Journal of Poetry. Maudie's work continues to evolve, driven by her passion for uncovering the unseen and unspoken.
